| Editions | Smash Balloon Instagram Feed · Instagram Feed Pro ($) | Jetpack · Jetpack paid plans ($) |
| Pros | Add feeds with a shortcode, block, widget or Elementor and Divi modules; Feed builder with layout and styling options; Responsive output that works with most themes | Many modules in one plugin, each switched on separately; Brute-force protection and an image CDN without extra services; Contact form with Akismet spam checks and entries kept in admin |
| Cons | Hashtag feeds, lightboxes, carousels and moderation need the Pro version; Relies on Meta's Instagram API and its token rules; Usage tracking is available but needs the site owner to opt in | Needs a WordPress.com connection to work fully; Usage tracking runs once the site is connected, with no separate toggle found; Paid plans gate some features, such as multi-step forms |
