| Editions | WooCommerce Authorize.net Gateway (Enterprise) ($) | WooCommerce PayPal Payments |
| Pros | Card data handled by Accept.js, not stored on the site; Refunds and admin order actions from WooCommerce; Enterprise licence adds saved cards and subscription support | Official PayPal gateway with smart buttons on product and checkout pages; Pay Later, card fields and Apple Pay or Google Pay wallets; Subscriptions, saved payment methods and ShipStation order tracking |
| Cons | Needs an Authorize.Net merchant account and SSL; Subscriptions, saved cards and eCheck need the Enterprise licence; Authorize.Net's older AIM method is being phased out | Available payment methods depend on PayPal account and country eligibility; Many modules are switched on in settings, so the setup has several steps |
