Wider Admin Menu
2,000+ active installs · Rated 4.7/5 · Updated December 2, 2025
A lightweight plugin for widening the WordPress admin menu from its default width, up to a set maximum. It helps when long menu labels from plugins get cut off or wrap awkwardly. A standalone stylesheet is also offered for anyone who prefers not to run another plugin, and settings are removed cleanly on deletion. It suits administrators who want a roomier menu. The plugin is free.
Pros
- Free, with no external services
- Settings page for the menu width
- Settings removed when the plugin is deleted
Cons
- Only changes the menu width
- Separate stylesheet files per WordPress version range
- Adds a settings link to the plugins list
