Pipe Video Recorder
Pipe Video Recorder adds a shortcode that lets visitors record a video from a webcam or phone and post it to the site, plus a playback shortcode. Recorded videos are stored in the AddPipe service and listed in the admin, and the plugin receives webhooks when a video is ready. It suits sites that take video testimonials, interviews or user submissions. Limit: it needs a paid AddPipe account, and the readme was last tested to WordPress 4.9.
Pros
- Visitors record video from the browser with a shortcode
- Playback shortcode for recorded videos
- Recorded videos listed in the admin
Cons
- Needs an AddPipe account, which is a paid service
- Readme last tested to WordPress 4.9
- Video files are hosted outside the site
