Twitter Mentions as Comments
40+ active installs · Rated 3.5/5 · Updated July 4, 2013
Twitter Mentions as Comments checks the Twitter search API on an hourly schedule for tweets that link to your posts and adds them to the post as comments. It uses the normal comment queue, so moderation and blocklists still apply. Suits blogs that want tweets about their posts shown with comments. Limit: it relies on Twitter's search API, which needs API credentials, and the readme was last tested with WordPress 3.5, so current compatibility is unverified.
Pros
- Adds tweets linking your posts as comments
- Uses the normal comment moderation queue
- Hourly check runs automatically
Cons
- Needs Twitter API credentials
- Readme last tested with WordPress 3.5
- Depends on Twitter search API availability
