Font Awesome
400,000+ active installs · Rated 3.6/5 · Updated August 13, 2026
A plugin from the Font Awesome team that is the official way to add its icons to WordPress posts, pages and templates. Icons can be inserted as blocks or inline through an icon chooser, loaded from a Font Awesome Kit or the CDN, and it helps resolve conflicts when several plugins load different versions. It suits anyone using icons in their design. The plugin is free, and Pro icons need a paid Font Awesome Pro plan.
Pros
- Official plugin from the Font Awesome team
- Icon block and classic editor icon chooser
- Loads icons from a Kit or a selected release
Cons
- Pro icons need a Pro account and a Kit
- Depends on Font Awesome's release and Kit services
- Icons load from Font Awesome's servers, so a blocked host affects them
