Visit website

Adds an advanced search form to the bbPress search page with filters for forums (with subforums), author, content type, topic status, topic tags and date period, plus result ordering. Admins choose which filters show and which user roles or visitors may use each one. It suits active bbPress communities where the default keyword search is too blunt. Keyword highlighting, search location, sticky filter and custom date ranges belong to the paid Pro version.

Pros

  • Many filters: forums, author, type, status, tags, period
  • Per-filter control over roles and visitors
  • Can replace the default bbPress search form
  • Templates can be overridden from the theme

Cons

  • Only useful with bbPress installed
  • Custom date range and keyword highlighting need Pro
  • Requires PHP 8.0 and WordPress 6.4
