WP REST API (v1, deprecated)
Provides the deprecated version 1 of the WordPress REST API, exposing posts, users, taxonomies and media as JSON over HTTP. It receives only security fixes now. It suits legacy integrations that still call the v1 endpoints. For new work, the core REST API or the WP REST API v2 plugin is the better choice.
