Security Optimizer is SiteGround's free security plugin. It adds login attempt limits, two-factor login, a custom login URL, an activity log, XSS headers, XML-RPC blocking, directory hardening and a few hardening switches such as hiding the WordPress version and disabling the file editors. It suits site owners who want basic hardening without a paid service. Limit: it does not scan for malware and does not filter requests like a web application firewall.
