Responsive Lightbox & Gallery
100,000+ active installs · Rated 4.9/5 · Updated October 20, 2026
A plugin combining a drag-and-drop gallery builder with lightbox effects for images on a WordPress site. Galleries and lightbox styles can be customised in detail, and the plugin aims to stay light on page load. It suits sites wanting both galleries and a lightbox from one tool. The core plugin is free, and premium extensions add further gallery layouts and lightbox scripts.
Pros
- Eight lightbox scripts to choose from, with per-script settings
- Gallery builder with grid, slider and masonry layouts plus block and widgets
- Media folders and remote image library built in
- No usage tracking
Cons
- Additional gallery types and lightboxes are paid extensions
- Extensions page loads its list from dfactory.co
- Galleries are a custom post type, so they do not move cleanly to another gallery plugin
