Twenty Twenty-Five is a free WordPress default theme from 2025 as a block theme with post formats, an editor stylesheet, custom block styles and pattern categories. Its theme.json file sets the design options for the site editor. It suits blogs, portfolios, magazines and business sites. Limit: it depends on the block editor and full site editing, so classic widget setups do not apply.
Pros
- Post formats, block styles and pattern categories
- Design options set in theme.json for the site editor
Cons
- Depends on the block editor and full site editing
- Classic widget setups do not apply
