LazyLoad by WP Rocket
100,000+ active installs · Rated 4.2/5 · Updated October 6, 2026
A small plugin from the team behind WP Rocket that delays loading of images, iframes and videos until visitors scroll to them, which reduces initial page weight. It has few settings and suits sites that only need lazy loading rather than a full optimisation suite. The plugin is free.
Pros
- Three simple toggles: images, iframes/videos, YouTube thumbnails
- Small script with no jQuery dependency
- Filters and data-no-lazy attribute for fine-grained exclusions
Cons
- Lazy loading only; no caching or file optimisation
- Native browser lazy loading only through a code filter
- Shows an Imagify promotion notice in the admin
