Download Monitor
80,000+ active installs · Rated 4.5/5 · Updated October 20, 2026
Download Monitor manages downloadable files, places download links in posts and pages through shortcodes, a block and a widget, and records downloads with logs and reports. The free edition includes a basic shop with PayPal for selling files. It suits sites that distribute files and want download statistics. The limit is that email lock, gated-content and cloud storage options come from the paid Pro add-ons and licence.
Pros
- Free core with download logs and reports
- Shortcodes, a block and a widget place links anywhere
- Basic built-in shop with PayPal for selling downloads
Cons
- Email lock and gated-content extensions need the paid Pro add-ons
- Pro features require a licence key from the vendor
