Skimlinks is a legacy plugin that rewrites outbound product links in posts into affiliate links through the Skimlinks network, and can add a disclosure badge. The plugin is deprecated and kept for existing sites only, with a separate integration recommended for new installs. It suits publishers already using Skimlinks who have not moved over yet. Limit: it is no longer supported and should not be used on new sites.
Pros
- Rewrites outbound product links to affiliate links
- Optional disclosure badge and widget
- Keeps affiliate links in RSS and feed content
Cons
- Deprecated and no longer supported by Skimlinks
- Needs a Skimlinks publisher account and ID
- Adds a third-party script to every front-end page
