Shipping Insurance for WooCommerce
100+ active installs · Rated 5.0/5 · Updated July 26, 2024
Shipping Insurance for WooCommerce adds an optional insurance checkbox at checkout and a flat insurance fee to the cart. The fee, the default state and the checkbox label are set in the WooCommerce shipping settings. It suits stores that want to offer optional transit cover without a separate insurer integration. The limit is that it only adds the fee: the code does not store the customer's choice on the order and does not handle claims.
Pros
- Optional insurance checkbox at checkout
- Flat fee and label set in WooCommerce shipping settings
- Checkbox can be checked by default
Cons
- Does not save the insurance choice on the order
- No claims handling in the plugin code, despite the readme wording
