SureCart is a WordPress store and checkout plugin that connects to the hosted SureCart platform for payments and subscriptions. It covers products, a cart, one-time and recurring billing, order bumps, upsell funnels, coupons, abandoned checkout tracking, an affiliate program and software licence keys. It suits sellers who want a lighter alternative to WooCommerce. One limit: store data and checkout run on the SureCart cloud, so the store depends on that service.

Pros

  • Checkout, payments and subscriptions run on the hosted platform, keeping the WordPress database smaller
  • Free plan includes subscriptions, order bumps, upsells and coupons
  • Several payment processors: Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, Razorpay and Paystack

Cons

  • Store data and payments depend on the SureCart cloud platform
  • The Launch plan charges a 2.9 percent transaction fee; paid plans have none
  • Needs a SureCart account and platform connection before the store works
