Adds the Google Tag Manager container and a GA4-ready data layer without editing theme code. Covers WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads events, Contact Form 7 data, consent settings and optional server-side GTM loading. Suits WooCommerce and GA4 sites; many advanced commerce events and reporting are premium-only.

Pros

  • Ships GA4 ecommerce data layer events for WooCommerce without custom code
  • Skips the container on staging, development and local sites
  • Site Health checks confirm the container actually reaches visitors

Cons

  • Many commerce events (refunds, subscriptions, server-side orders) need the Premium add-on
  • Settings span many screens and can be confusing for non-developers
  • Anonymous usage sharing exists and must be left off if unwanted
